Computer animation is often referred to as a digital successor to the stop motion techniques used in Traditional animation. 3D models and frame-by-frame animation of 2D illustrations move across the screen. Computer generated animations (or CGI) are more controllable than other more tedious processes, such as constructing miniatures for effects shots or hiring actors for crowd scenes. 3D animation allows the creation of images that would not be feasible using any other technology. Computer graphics allow an animator to produce such content without the use of actors, expensive set pieces, or prop designs.
Creating 3 dimentional characters on a computer
3D CGI combines 3D models of objects (often characters) and a programmed keyframed movement. These models are constructed out of geometrical vertices, faces, and edges in a 3D axis system.
